Lobbying:

Businesses have to negotiate obstacles to their growth on a daily basis. These can be local, regional, national or international in origin, regardless of where they come from, we aim to help businesses to get past these obstacles either through our local network of branches and affiliates or by acting as a force for the County on non local issues.

A recent example: Recently we helped businesses to save up to 33% on their trade waste disposal by partnering with a local provider. We did this as a direct result of businesses contacting us in uproar at price hikes imposed by the County Council, their previous provider.

Networking - helping you to access other businesses:

We provide you with access to the right people and organisations to help take your business forward. These can include:

• Other businesses from the local and regional business community
• Key Local Authority officers and politicians
• Key business leaders and opinion formers
• Potential new customers - the regional and local business community

Increasing your Profile:

We understand that your company brand and product awareness are extremely important. If you need to raise your profile locally or regionally in South Wales then we can help.

• We publish the Carmarthenshire Business Newspaper, distributed freely to 7000 key decision makers in businesses across the region.
• We hold regular networking events including business breakfasts, lunches, dinners, seminars, meet the buyers, trade fairs, Question Time in Carmarthenshire and the superb Carmarthenshire May Ball.
• We provide sponsorship opportunities for all our events helping you to raise awareness of your business in the area. Partners that sponsored some of our events include: the Stradey Park Hotel, Harris Automations, Business Eye, RSVP Coordinators, Just Print, Silcox Flowers, Advanced Electronic Systems, Eden Digital, Mike Clarke Printing and Picton Sports.
• We run a members discount club where we actively promote your business to other members in return for offering them discounted rates on your products and services
• We publish the Carmarthenshire Business Directory and give members a free listing within it
• We publish our online members business directory providing you with various options on how best to promote your business
• We offer an enhanced Patron Membership service which places your company at the forefront of everything we do. Current patron members include the Stradey Park Hotel, The Scarlets Rugby Club, HAC Group, Carmarthenshire Tourism Association and Foothold.

We have also promoted our activities through advertorials placed in publications such as Swansea Bay Business Guide and through advertising on Radio Carmarthenshire.
